(Or click on Start->All programs->Accessories->Run., then type mblctr.exe then click OK, then turn on wireless there.) - If needed, please download and install the Dell QuickSet application at the website below:, then press at the same time the two keys Fn and F2 in order to turn on /off the wireless and check if needed, restart the laptop, then try Fn and F2 keys again. And/or can you click on Start -> Control Panel -> Mobile PC (or Hardware and Sound) -> Windows Mobile Center, if it's there, then turn on wireless there.
Note: This is by no means an exhaustive list due to the large number of laptops being released to the market daily, however it is a good starting point. you need to turn on the laptop wireless switch. your laptop cannot find the SSID of the router but other wireless devices can see the SSID. And/or can you click on Start -> All programs -> Dell., and look for any program to turn on /off the wireless. the wireless switch of your laptop is off. Next is to download and install the latest driver from Dells Support site. I'm sorry, do you also see any other wireless icon / button anywhere on the keyboard or around the keyboard, or on the sides, etc.? - Can you check for the wireless switch at the front side of the laptop, and make sure it is in the ON position, then check. In Device Manager again, uninstall the wireless adapter.
